Gonzaga men’s basketball coach Mark Few has been cited for driving under the influence after a traffic stop Monday, a report obtained from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department said.
Coeur d’Alene is approximately 30 miles from Gonzaga’s campus in Spokane, Washington.
According to the report, Few was pulled over after police received a report that he was driving erratically and speeding. Few “exhibited several signs of intoxication” and refused to complete field sobriety tests, the report said. His breath samples registered .119 and .120. The legal limit in Idaho is .08.
Few, 58, is entering his 23rd season as coach at Gonzaga. He has compiled a 630–124 record, including two appearances in the national championship game, the most recent coming last season. The Bulldogs have never missed the NCAA tournament during his tenure.
