The All Progressives Congress, APC, says it invited security agents to the National Secretariat to forestall any breach of Peace in its vicinity.
The Secretary of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Committee, John Udoedeghe, made the clarification on Monday.
According to him, it is a normal precautionary report following a security report of some elements who are bent on causing mayhem.
Security agents had in the early hours of Monday unusually made their presence felt on Blantyre Street where the ruling party is located.
It was gathered independently that there was a protest planned for this morning to kick against the continued stay of the caretaker committee which may have necessitated the invitation of the police.
