As swimming ended, Caeleb Dressel was celebrating (and so were the Australians).

Emma McKeon of Australia set an Olympic record in the women’s 50-meter freestyle. She’s the second woman to win seven medals in a single Olympics.

The 1,500-meter freestyle came down to the last 50 meters, and Bobby Finke of the United States came from behind to win.

In the women’s 4×100 medley relay, Australia won the gold medal with a time of 3:51.60. The American women, who won the gold in 2016, settled for the silver.

Team USA was in the stands cheering on Finke and the other American swimmers.

Ryan Murphy, Michael Andrew, Caeleb Dressel and Zach Apple of the U.S. finished the meet by setting a world record in the men’s 4×100-meter medley relay.
