President Muhammadu Buhari has been in Yola on Friday, to commiserate with the families and the state over the death of Ahmed Joda, Mahmud Tukur, and Abdullahi Danburam.
The President was received at the Yola International Airport by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and other top government officials.
The President immediately proceeded to Lamido’s Palace.
President Buhari described the late Super Permanent Secretary, Ahmed Joda, as his close ally.
He said Ahmed Joda was of great assistance to him, without expecting a favour in return.
Also, President Buhari has described the late Mahmud Tukur, as a friend of his family, who dedicated his life to serving Nigeria under his regime, as military President.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri and Lamido Adamawa, Barkindo Aliyu, thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for coming to Yola to condole with the state.
President Muhammadu Buhari has since departed Adamawa for Kano, to participate in the ceremony of his son’s wedding.
