There’s a new sheriff in town, all right!

Stunning photos show Taliban fighters posing in the former Afghan National Police Academy in Kabul amid the frenzied withdrawal of US and other Western forces and the extremist group’s quick takeover of the country.

Taliban commander Qasi Ali was photographed by the UK Sun newspaper sitting at a mahogany desk, surrounded by his men inside the training center on the eastern outskirts of the Afghan capital.

“Look at this office. We haven’t looted anything,” he showboated for the paper.

Rubbing it in, on the table in front of Ali sat a British police helmet and an American state trooper’s hat, gifts the two nations had given to Afghan police trainees, according to the report.

The senior Taliban commander and his fighters were also pictured standing in a hallway holding guns inside the building, which was once used by US-led NATO forces to train Afghan police.

He noted that his men had not looted the building, pointing to the untouched computers, fridges and office furniture. He also said the CCTV was still working, and that he had called the center’s civilian staff, including cooks and electricians, to come back to work.

The photos were taken on Aug. 24, during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was officially completed Monday.

The Pentagon on Tuesday said that “several hundred” Americans still remain in the Taliban-controlled country, as military leadership failed in its stated mission to remove all US citizens by the end of the month.

But Ali claimed those left behind had nothing to fear.

“I don’t know why people are scared,” he told the Sun. “The Taliban have brought security.”
