An anonymous donor is covering the funeral costs for all 20 people who perished in the catastrophic flooding in Tennessee over the weekend, a report said.
The mystery man this week has visited multiple funeral homes in the state to pay for the services, the Nashville Tennessean reported.
Humphreys County Funeral Home manager William Brown told the newspaper the donor came in on Thursday to pay for the nine funerals that will take place at that location.
The man told Brown he had been to other funeral homes in the area for the same reason.
In the city of Waverly, which is located within Humphreys County, 17.02 inches of rain fell on Saturday — shattering the state’s 24-hour record by nearly 4 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
The devastating flooding that also leveled hundreds of homes.
