Flood has killed four persons, submerged farmlands, and destroyed several houses in Kontagora and Mashegu Local Government Areas of Niger State.
An unspecified number of people are said to be still missing as a result of the flood.
The actual cause of the flood is yet to be ascertained.
According to Abubakar Imam, a resident of Kasanga Mashegu Local Government Area, no deaths have been recorded.
Abubakar Imam explained that the flood washed away over 200 houses.
He appealed to the authorities to come to their aid, as the destruction of their farmlands and houses by the flood has started affecting their lives.
