Yesterday, the SSA to the President, Garba Shehu in a statement advised the main opposition, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to abandon their hopes of winning the 2023 general elections because the people still believe in President Muhammadu Buhari and will not give up on him.

The PDP was accused of giving Nigerians false hope with claims that, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC’s alleged underperformance at the national level, it (PDP) will reclaim the power it lost to the APC in 2023.

However, briefly, after Eid-El-Kabir prayers in Daura, Katsina State, Mallam Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, stated that Nigerians are well informed and wouldn’t let another party rule them come 2023.

He stressed that the President has unshakeable support not only in his home state but also across the country and that this is sufficient for opposition to recognize that the President is critical to the ruling party and Nigerians overall and that he is a political impediment they will be unable to overcome by 2023.

It is common knowledge that the PDP and other political parties have unreasonable standards of collecting power in 2023. The people will never abandon President Buhari and the APC.

He assures that the masses will be expecting the President to lead the way in 2023, owing to what he has established for the country in terms of facilities and the well-being of the country’s youth.
