NFL veteran Stephon Tuitt took to Instagram mourn his younger brother, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Georgia this week.

Richard Bartlett III, 23, was fatally struck on the side of the road as he stopped to help his girlfriend secure a mattress on the top of her car.

“You are in heaven living stress free,” wrote the Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end alongside a picture of him and Bartlett. “I miss you so so so much bro 😢 We love you and see you again one day.”

The heartfelt post has generated more than 17,000 “likes” and touching responses from friends, family, fans, media members, teammates, and NFL opponents.

“Prayers up family,” wrote Steelers cornerback Joe Haden.

“Praying for you and the family bro,” added NFL foe Tyler Matakevich, a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills.

Bartlett was struck on the side of McGinnis Ferry Road in Johns Creek, near a bridge over the Chattahoochee River. Police are still looking for the driver in the fatal incident.

“The victim was following a girlfriend in a vehicle,” local police Capt. Todd Hood told WGCL-TV. “She had a mattress strapped to the top of her car. From what we understand, they may have stopped to secure it. She had pulled over to the right-hand side of the roadway. The victim had pulled into the left-hand turn lane right there at the boat entrance to the Chattahoochee River.”

Witnesses told police the vehicle that struck Bartlett was a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly a black BMW.

Investigators believe the vehicle has damage to the right bumper and hood, windshield and passenger-side door.
