He’s thinking Matt Damon to play him in the movie — then maybe they’ll call it “Good Whale Hunting.’’

The Cape Cod lobsterman who claims he survived nearly being swallowed by a whale says he could see the “Good Will Hunting” star and fellow Massachusetts native portraying him in a potential Netflix movie about his harrowing tale.

Michael Packard, 56, added to fans asking him questions on Reddit on Saturday that people have taken to calling him the obvious, “Jonah” — and described how hospital doctors responded when he told them what happened.

“I said, I got stuck in a whale’s mouth.’ All the nurses and doctors at the hospital came to see me and ask me about it,’’ the dad wrote.

“One nurse came in with a notepad, she asked me for lottery numbers!’’

The lobster diver retold his whale tale, which he has said involved him being accidentally gulped by a humpback whale off the coast of Provincetown, Mass., early Friday before being spit out.

Some experts told The Post that the story sounds fishy, given Packard’s apparent lack of more serious injuries, including hearing loss from the sudden change in water pressure when the whale reportedly took him down 45 feet in seconds.

But Packard repeated on Reddit that he was lodged in the baby whale’s mouth for what he estimated to be “about 30-40 seconds.”

He said he miraculously walked away with only “soft tissue damage” that he attributed to the “blunt force of the whale’s mouth.

“I could feel it clamping down on my legs. … I could’ve suffocated, or drowned if I didn’t retrieve my [diving air] regulator in time,” Packard said.

“It was full of water, and I could feel the muscles of [the whale’s] mouth convulsing around me, it was a really strange feeling to be sure.

“My head was just spinning, I could feel the whale swimming around and I was just thinking that there was almost no way out of this,” he wrote.

“Eventually the whale managed to dislodge me by moving its head and tounge [sic], I think.”

Packard’s high-schooler son, Jacob, who was helping his technologically challenged dad with the online interview, recalled getting called out “of Spanish class and told there was an accident, whale related.’’

Jacob said his dad has been “very overwhelmed” by his newfound fame.

“He’s a simple dude,” Packard’s son wrote.

The father added, “Original article was a small newspaper, cape cod times. Next thing I knew, news stations were in my driveway.”

Jacob said news reports have been misleading in saying the whale “swallowed” his dad, who “is adamant that the whale would not have been able to actually swallow him.”

It wasn’t the first time that Michael Packard has reportedly cheated death.

He also survived a deadly Costa Rica plane crash in 2001, when he and four other passengers are said to have spent two nights in the jungle before rescuers found them.
