A three-year-old child of Salihu Tanko Islamic School, Tegina has died in captivity. The child whose body was abandoned few kilometres away from Tegina town.
A source attributed the death due to the feverish and trauma caused by gunshots. Tanko Zegi, a parent of one of the abducted students confirmed the death of the child to reporters.
Zegi expressed dismay over the government’s attitude to issues affecting its people, especially since the gunmen abducted the children.
He further said that no state official has visited them to show concern since their children were abducted last week Sunday.
They commended the Local Government Council Chairman, Ismaila Modibbo, who has been ensuring that the children are rescued unhurt.
Mothers of two of the abducted children have so far died as a result of the shock of the incident.
