Mahmud Reza Khavari, the former head of Bank Melli Iran, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for “disrupting the economic system,” Iranian news agencies cited Musa Ghazanfarabadi, head of Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, as saying on Saturday.
