This year’s John Lewis Christmas advert will reportedly air shortly, with fans predicting that it will include a David Bowie cover.
Many viewers look forward to the UK department store’s festive adverts for their heartwarming storylines and emotional soundtracks. The campaigns traditionally feature solo musicians covering rock and pop classics. Last year saw Norwegian singer Aurora cover Oasis’ ‘Half The World Away’.
A report from Campaign suggests that the new campaign will launch on Thursday, November 10. However, for the past few years the ad has been released on the first Friday of November.
This year fans are predicting a David Bowie song to feature in the ad following the music icon’s death in January.
