Brad Pitt has released a statement following news yesterday (September 20) that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce.
Jolie reportedly filed for divorce on Monday (September 19), listing their separation as September 15. The couple had been together since 2004, marrying in August 2014. They have six children.
In a statement to People Magazine, Pitt says: "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
